Chloe Faith Gardner was by far the most valuable player on her Key West AYSO soccer team. She starred for the "Key West KIA Kids in Action" during the fall 2010 season. Her star shined brightest during the last 2 games of the playoffs. In the semi-finals, she scored all 5 goals for her team to help them advance to the finals. In the finals, with Chloe playing goalie her team fell behind 2 to 1. In the second half she was moved to her normal position of mid-fielder, the third quarter ended with her team still behind 2 to 1. In the fourth quarter Chloe, kicked it to high gear, she scored about mid-way through to tie the score at 2 to 2. Then with about 30 seconds left to play Chloe got the ball at about mid-field, she then moved the ball forward on the left side, going around no less then 3 defenders while working her way to the center of the field, she then saw an opening, turned 90 degrees and fired off the winning goal from about 20 feet. The crowd went crazies as did all the girls on her team as she clinched the championship for her team.
She is now concentrating on perfecting her game with the U-10 All-star travel team. We will keep you posted.
